I finally learned how to use the laundry tub correctly and this completely changed the way I do laundry.

For years, I thought that doing laundry was one of the easiest household tasks: load clothes, add detergent, press a button, and wait. Yet, despite following this ritual carefully, my clothes were never really as clean as I would have liked. Sometimes they remained opaque, others gave off a not very fresh smell. The answer, surprisingly, was not in the clothes or in the program chosen, but in a detail that I had always underestimated: the detergent compartment of the washing machine.

A common mistake that many people make

Looking at the image, you can clearly see that the tray is divided into three compartments, numbered 1, 2 and 3. Yet, many people – including me – don't really know what they are for. This seemingly trivial mistake can seriously compromise the effectiveness of the wash.

It's not uncommon to fill the wrong compartment with detergent or fabric softener, thinking that "everything goes in the same place". In reality, each compartment has a precise function, designed to release the product at the right time in the washing cycle.
