2. Drink the right amount of water (8 glasses) a day

The U.S. Institute of Medicine recommends drinking 11.4 glasses of water a day, although water levels may require additional adjustment between individuals. The exact amount of water to drink depends on your body size and weight.

You can also get water from foods like fruits and vegetables (an apple provides water horizontally to a cup of water); you won't need to drink as much water if you eat more food. Generally, if you divide your weight, you'll get the ounces of water you need each day (each ounce equals 30 ml).

3. Avoid consuming coffee and tea

Many people think that coffee and tea are harmful because they contain caffeine, but while caffeine can have a diuretic effect, the amount of water in tea and coffee is sufficient to ensure its effectiveness. Drinking tea and coffee is better than drinking nothing at all.

4. Drinking too little

If you're thirsty, exercising, or it's too hot, you need to drink water. But even if you're not thirsty or not working, you still need water. A lack of water increases the risk of kidney stones and urinary tract diseases. You should drink water regularly throughout the day.

5. Confusion between the request for water and the need to eat

Drinking water before meals helps you understand your true hunger: many people ignore hunger and thirst because they eat more and drink less. You should drink water in the morning, immediately after waking up and having drunk throughout the day.
