Preparation is simple and requires little equipment.
- Heat 1 liter of water until very hot but not boiling (approximately 50–60 °C ).
- Add 2 level tablespoons of fine salt (about 30 g ).
- Stir until completely dissolved.
- Then dip a clean cotton cloth or thick gauze into the salt water .
- Squeeze it out thoroughly: the fabric should be thoroughly damp, but not dripping wet , and remain pleasant to the touch.
- Apply the compress to a clean, dry area while sitting comfortably or lying down in a relaxing position.
- Leave on for 10–20 minutes , repeating the application if the compress cools down.
