In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add warm water and melted butter, then knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Cover with a cloth and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in volume.

Once risen, divide the dough into 8 equal parts and form balls, then flatten them.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes, so that they swell slightly.
Brush them with the egg and milk mixture and sprinkle them with sesame seeds, to taste.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°F (350°C) for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and fluffy.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Instructions for serving and storing:

These buns are best fresh, immediately after baking. They go perfectly with meat, vegetables and your favorite sauces.
If you don't consume them right away, store them in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze them for later.
Variants:

Wheat and spelt sandwiches: Instead of wheat flour, use spelt flour for a healthier option.
Herb buns: Add dried oregano or basil to the dough to give the buns a unique flavor.
Cheese buns: you can add grated cheese to the dough, which will melt during cooking, creating a delicious crust.
