Procedure:
- Finely chop the dried bay leaves (you can use a mortar or a blender).
- Pour the oil into an airtight glass jar and add the chopped leaves.
- Leave to macerate for 2 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking the jar once a day.
- After 2 weeks, filter the oil through cheesecloth or a fine sieve.
- For an even more intense effect, you can repeat the process by adding new leaves and letting it steep for another 2 weeks.
How to use it and what it is for
This fragrant and therapeutic oil is excellent for external use , thanks to its calming, anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties.
Headache : Massage a few drops into your temples and behind your ears.
Joint or muscle pain : Apply topically and massage for a few minutes.
Acne and pimples : Gently dab onto blemishes, thanks to its antibacterial action.
Earache : Warm the oil slightly and apply to a cotton ball (not directly into your ear!).
