Ironing is one of the oldest methods for removing residual moisture from clothes. If the fabric can withstand high temperatures, lay it slightly damp on an ironing board and iron it without setting the highest temperature. Don't worry about the steam rising: it's not coming from the iron, but from the water remaining in the clothes, which evaporates under the heat.

However, moderation is key: never use a higher temperature than indicated on the garment's care label, as wet fibers can be more sensitive to washing. This method works particularly well for cotton shirts and T-shirts because, in addition to drying, it instantly removes wrinkles, leaving the garment ready to wear straight from the ironing board.

These simple tricks not only save time, but also help make moving around the house less stressful in winter. With a little attention and careful use of our appliances, we can avoid musty odors and long waits.
